Deleting your MEG account

This page explains how to delete your account for MEG – Music Exercises Generator, developed by Stefano Corradi, and which data is deleted. It applies to the website, the web app and the MEG apps on Google Play and the App Store.

1. How to delete your account

From the MEG app

Open MEG and sign in.
Go to Settings, Account tab.
At the bottom, tap “Delete account” and confirm.

From the website

Sign in at www.musicexercisesgenerator.com.
Open the menu at the top right and choose “Your profile”.
In the “Your data” section, press “Delete account” and confirm.

Without signing in

Email info@musicexercisesgenerator.com from your account’s email address and ask us to delete it. We reply and carry out the request within 30 days.

2. What happens next

Access to the account is blocked immediately and you receive a confirmation email.
A subscription paid on the website (Stripe) or in the Android app (Google Play) is cancelled immediately, with no further charges and no refund for the current period.
A subscription bought in the iPhone or iPad app must be cancelled by you in the App Store settings: Apple does not allow us to do it for you.
For 30 days you can still ask us to reactivate the account by writing to info@musicexercisesgenerator.com. After that, the data is deleted permanently.

3. Data that is deleted

account: name, email, password and sign-in methods, passkeys, linked devices, profile photo
licence and promotional codes
exercises, chord progressions, playlists, tags, notes and practice tempos
practice statistics and activity log
contacts, invitations and shares with other users
newsletter subscription

4. Data that is kept

Receipts and invoices for purchases are kept for 10 years, as required by Italian tax law. Stripe, Google and Apple keep them for payments made through them, and we keep them in our accounts. They contain none of your exercises or other account content.

5. Deleting only some data

You don’t need to delete your account to remove individual content: you can delete exercises, playlists, contacts and your profile photo at any time, in the app or in your profile on the website. For any other request about your data, write to info@musicexercisesgenerator.com. All the details are in the privacy policy.
